Seeking any and all info on BOLIN /BOWLING / BOULIN / and other variations of name who lived in Dubois Co, Pike Co, and southern Indiana and Ky. Would like someone to tell me what is in Wilson's History of Dubois Co, IN for this family -- unable to get a copy of this book and would like to know who is listed in this. Said that it had info around page 300 on them in a 1910 document I read. Want information on SANDAGE, SANDIDGE, BRENNAN, LYNCH, and KINDER families who were related to these BOLIN families. Name: Donna Merrill Date: 31 Jan 1997 Subject: COOK Lafayette COOK b. 29 Nov 1847 in Autauga Co., AL. Lafayette joined the Union Army and served from Indiana. He states his P.O. Box as Patoka Twp., Gibson Co., IN. at the time of his enlistment. In his pension records he states that he lived in Gibson/Pike Counties, IN after the war for several years. I have not been able to find out who his parents are. Lafayette married 1) Sarah Elizabeth ALLEN 5 Jan 1875. Thier children were: Jesse, Robert David md. Ellen COOK, Christian Perlina md. Robert Austin HARRISON, and James Monroe. Lafayette married 2) Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Robeson/Robinson) GAUROUTTE 13 May 1892 in Howell Co., MO. Thier children were: Ellen Frances md David COOK, and John Lafayette. Lafayette married 3) Rutha Jane BAILEY 6 Jul 1900 in Carroll Co., AR. Thier children were: Alma June md. Harry BARTON, Franklin Malcomb md. Blanche LOWRY, Homer Lee md. Hazel MCDOWELL, and Austin md. Lillian BENTON. Lafayette died 28 May 1918 in McDonald Co., MO. Any information on Lafayette COOK would be appreciated.

I am searching for information regarding my G.Father, Robert D. BAKER (Bob) born July 31, 1866 SOMEWHERE in Indiana. His parent's names are unknown to me but they too were born in Indiana; according to 1920 Georgia Census. He had a sister named Sarah Jane. He left Indiana at an early age and toured the eastern states before coming to GA. He married Nobie Coats in Carrollton, GA in 1917 and settled in Newnan, GA, he had one child, Zelma Louise. I have searched the 1880 Indiana Soundex with no success. I have been looking line by line at the 1880 Census and also trying to look by counties at the 1870 Indiana Census. I am trying to get this Query to all counties in Indiana. I would appreciate any help or information, but I will keep searching. I live in Jonesboro, GA

Since I did not give a complete E-mail address, I am re-submitting my Query I am searching for my g.grandfather who was born July 31, 1866 SOMEWHERE IN INDIANA, so I am having to try all counties. I really need some help from you folks up there. I do not have any parents names, but one sister was Sarah Jane, who lived most of her life in Terre Haute, but I have no married name. My g.grandfather left home at an early age, traveled around and settled in Newnan, Georgia. Married Nobie Coats in 1917 and had one daughter Zelma Louise. He died March 11, 1933 in Newnan, GA. I am searching here in Georgia at the National Archives near Atlanta. I have searched the 1880 Indiana Soundex and am now trying to search the 1880 Indiana Census and the 1870 Indiana Census line by line, county by county. George Washington HAYES, born 1829 in Rutherford County, TN, married Elizabeth Maholah PUCKETT. His father could have been John HAYES or William HAYES born about 1795 in VA. His mother was Lydia, possibly SIMS. They were in Indiana in 1825 as one of their sons was born there. Their children were James HAYES, b 1825 in Indiana; married EMILY; John M. HAYS, born 1826 in Alabama, married Rebecca L. VAUGHAN, Robert D. HAYS, b TN; Martha E. HAYES, b 1834 in TN, married Benjamin F. WEST I am looking for info on Thomas W. WEST, born in Indiana, unknown county, in 1835. He married Mary A. ? from Tennessee, and they lived near Nixa, Missouri and had had least 7 children, one of whom was my great great grandmother, Missouri Tennessee WEST. I found him in the 1880 Christian County, MO census, but don't have anything else on him, other than his dates: 1835-1883, buried in Payne Cemetery, NW of Nixa, MO. Thanks!

Requesting info on the BARRETT family of Gibson and Pike Counties, Indiana. My g-g-grandmother Annettie (middle name possibly Amelia BARRETT was born @ 1851, the daughter of Richard and Hannah (JONES) BARRETT. Believe that Richard and Hannah were married in the 1830's. Annettie later married (in 1871) Zechariah WEST of Pike County. She was his second wife, and is listed on the marriage certificate as Amelia BARRETT. She had a brother, Robert, who was older. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Looking for relatives, genealogical info, anything I can find about the family of John Griess and Dorothea Bretz who lived in Vanderburgh County, IN from about the mid-1800's to the early 1900's. I am looking for info on a William P. Bright found in the 1840 US Census of Indiana in Warrick Co. Campbell Township. In the 1850 He had died but his wife Elizabeth and kids are there. The kids are Barthotomew, Oliver, Rebecca, John, Elizabeth, Jacob, William, and a newborn named Francis. So I figure Willian P. Bright died in1849 or1850. Also I am looking for William P. Bright`s son John B. Bright married to Sarah Acker in early 1860`s in Warrick Co. they had six kids by 1881 then moved to Arkansas. Sarah`s father was Jacob acker her mother was Ann or Anna Hoover.
